What case would fit this - Thermalright - CPU Heatsink Kit - 2x 140mm PWM Fan - Silver Arrow, that is easy to build in and upgrade in, very very quiet, with good airflow.

I would say if anything you would want water cooled gpus to truly silence your build. An overclocked 2600k under an NH-14d (similar to the silver arrow) will always be basically silent but it would just look silly next to water cooled gpus. That being said cpus can be quieted easily on beefy air coolers.

If you want silence, watercool. That's really all there is to it. A low FPI 360 rad with lower RPM fans should let you cool your CPU and dual 7970s, although two GPUs might be a stretch.

Do you already have it? If you do, it isn't a bad cooler at all. It just limits your case choices and won't be as quite as liquid cooling.

No I have nothing yet, but I keep getting mixed views on liquid cooling, I am in a sense a noob as I've never made a pc before.

Well you can easily liquid cool your CPU with some all-in-one, although that won't do you much good over a good air cooler. Like someone else said, the main source of noise will be your GPU fan. Therefore, liquid cooling it first would be a good idea, however there are no viable all-in-one kits for your GPU unless you get one that has a full loop attached, like this one-
http://www3.pny.com/GTX-580-Liquid-Cooled-Graphics-Card-font-colordc0431Limited-Time-Bundlefont-P3015C470.aspx

That's the best fit, although I doubt there will be a version of the 7970 like that. With all that said, it would probably just be easiest to get a case will good airflow and a mobo with plenty of space between GPUs and then hotfix your GPU fans at a decent speed until you are ready for watercooling.

To be completely honest, liquid cooling is the bomb! However, since this is your first pc build you are going to have to do a little extra homework because water cooling is slightly more complicated. At 2000 pounds budget you shouldn't have a problem affording it however : ] I suggest going over to the watercooling forum, reading the helpful stickies at the top of the page, and if you need to ask a question there are many pro's willing to help you get your feet wet, figuratively of course! biggrin.gif
