Ordering them from a norwegian site, www.komplett.no. And since I'm from Norway, the options of sites to order from it quite limited, especially since half of them uses the same domestic supply storage.
Anyhow, sent them an email requesting further details, if not - I might go for the Sapphire's 7970's instead as they've got a confirmed date for 7th of february.

I were thinking about perhaps ordering from abroad, but that would be quite pricy since the regular import tax is 25% on top of the total price of the order.

It looks like most Norwegian computer geeks have one thing in common :3
We all order stuff from komplett.no!

Okay, well you do know that currently, all of the 7970s except the XFX one have the same exact design, right?

That's true yeah! tongue.gif And besides, other good options for domestic sites are somewhat limited yeah evo.gif

Uff, nesten galskap, men men oneeyedsmiley02.png

Will check that out! biggrin.gif

Right now I'm considerating going for the HIS's 7970's instead, since they've arrived in stock! Don't feel like waiting any longer, want to put this baby together and take it for a test run! Hmmmm.... All in all I think it's my personal fanboyism for ASUS that's been holding me back a bit, love ASUS - since my personal experiences with them has been greate. But yeah, suppose it's time to think about trying some other brands as well.... all in all it is basically the same card so.

UPDATE:

HIS HD 7970's ordered instead, if all goes after plans they arrive tomorrow and I can start putting the baby together!

The finishing touches!

Took a little longer than I thought it would before I managed to throw up some pictures of the finalizing of this build, as it has been completed - or at least pretty damn close to being completed - for a couple of weeks here now.

I'm stilling missing a sound card, which I will add into it further down the line, the reason for why I didn't do it right now is that I have yet to deside upon how much I want to spend on a sound system for the computer, whether or not it will be 2.1 or 5/7.1 surround and so on. So until I figured out that, I'm holding the sound card a bit. The usual me would go for the best sound card out that - by that I mean whatever card seems to have it all, but as I do over half of my gaming with headphones, and watch my movies on the flatscreen - I figured I'd lay back on this until I settle on some speakers and then pick a suiting sound card for those later on.

Anyhow, no need to say much about the building process - so here's just a bunch of pictures from when I put it all together:

As stated a few times before, this case is indeed huge. I love it, plenty of room to work arround with - it's perfect!

Love this fully modular PSU from Corsair. Never going back, hate always having to hide the cables you end up not using, which every time is damn near impossible to do depending on the case. But with this case and this PSU, cabling will be a sweet dream.

I like the premade holes in the top for mounting extra fans or radiators. You also have plenty of room inside, so do a push/pull configuration is no stress at all for whomever would like to do that if you use an slim radiator. It could also work with a thick one, but might be tricky depending on what else you're putting into your build.

Anyhow, the plan originally were to have the rad on the drop and fans below, but due to the spacing underneath the best solution without having to modify the plate for one of the top holes were to stick the fans on top. Which I actually think came out pretty nice all in all. Just got to remember not to stick the fingers in there while they're running. Anhow, since I've got my case placed on top of the desk there's no real danger or in any matter any need for me to stick my fingers there! tongue.gif

Must say that I love the looks and aesthetics of the H100. Looks really nice in there!

Still need to take the final pics of the build, how it's looking now that it's all come together. Just haven't taken the time yet to do it. But should have a few shortly!

Anyhow, in the beginning I struggled with the RAID0 I'm, running on the SSD's for the OS. During installation Windows wouldn't recognize the volume. I were required to add in some drivers during the install, which were pain since the newest Windows versions require the drivers to be signed - which these actually were, by Intel, but the installation still called them unsigned. So had to trick arround with that for hours.
Basically got no good solution on the matter, had to at first instead of doing the install go under repair and add the drivers there in order to do a workarround for the unsigned drivers issue - but I still got issue with the volume being "gone" on the first restart during the installation. And this I fixed my X amounts of attemts. In the end it just, worked, don't know why it worked that time and not others, but now it all works nicely no issues at all so far.

The CrossX also gave me some trouble. At first I feared it were a defect card, but it ended on being the CrossX link cable between the cards which must have been defect. When the problems started I could bearly get into the BIOS during boot, since everything just froze. But after replacing the bridge between the cards, it all worked perfectly.

So far I've been playing BF3 and Skyrim. Both games have worked perfectly on the highest settings - so so far I am loving this build.
Done some benching as well with results that I'm happy with. Haven't came so far as to doing any overclocking yet, but all in it's time! Planing on doing some overclocking on it very soon to squeeze a bit more power out of the CPU. Aming for a stable 24/7 OC.

Anyhow, final pics of the end restult and desk soon to come!
