Okay to run PC with no fans on Hyper 212+?

Thread Starter
Would it be okay to run my PC and game as usual for a week or so while I wait for my new Hyper 212+ fans to arrive? I mean like leave the heatsink on but take the fans off since someone bought them from me and I wanted to upgrade to better fans.

It's a 2500k at 4.5GHz 1.32v

If it's at stock, it's possible with good case airflow. But not at those voltages and clocks though.

You can always try it out.

for a week it should be fine aslong as you have good airflow through your case. just monitor the temps and see. but you can always drop down you clock to 4.0GHz and when your new fans come try for a > 4.5GHz OC thumb.gif

having good ambient air tempretures will help abit too

You could always just run it stock if it heats up too much. Why not just use one of your case's fans for now, better to have some sort of airflow going through the heatsink.

It'll be fine if you downclock back to normal settings. Or you can just temporarily use one of you case fans on the heatsink instead.

I just noticed you said the same exact thing I said, just 1 minute later. tongue.gif
