I could not find enough information to solve all of my problems regarding the Aquaero 5 setup and configuration and am still working on some of them, so I figured I would start a thread and see if maybe I could get some help/impart what I have figured out to someone else trying to figure these things out. I have blundered through quite a bit, but I still am currently stuck.
Eventually, I would like my Aquaero system to control 6 Gentle Typhoons (GTs), a flow meter, various temperature probes, my pump and have appropriate warnings, etc. From what I read, this seemed perfectly reasonable for this system and I was absolutely delighted by the attempt of AquaComputer to try and make this product so versatile.
I began by purchasing the XT model and grabbed 2 PowerAdjust2s (PA2s) to leave as little running on the Aquaero itself as I started testing this system out. I started by hooking the PA2s up to the Aquabus by daisy chaining (seemed to be what I read from comments as the Aquaero itself only has one aquabus 2 port). I then hooked up my fans to the powered 3 pin adapters on the PA2s. So we have a powered system so far. I have fans blowing at top speed (granted GTs are pretty quiet comparatively) and a powered up Aquaero.
Now for the hard stuff. I can't get Aquasuite 2012 (BETA 11 when I first downloaded it) to start currently. It fails with an error. I've played with manually configuring the Aquaero using the remote, but I can't seem to control the fans so far.
The manual one I wasn't as worried about because after reading comments, it appeared to me that I might have to do some updates to the PA2s to get everything working. No biggie. However, starting Aquasuite 2012 has not happened. I've been presented every time with an error stating: "Schema specified is not valid...". The error is actually quite long and appears to be related to loading SQLite perhaps (there are what appear to be SQLite db files in the aquasuite directory). I've tried repairing my .Net 4.0 and have tried dropping some DLLs in the SysWoW64 directory. Has anyone else run into this? Uninstalling and Reinstalling have no effect on the error. The error appears to be the same in all cases.
