[Vortez] NZXT Switch 810 Review - Page 6

It looks really nice, but I'm kinda annoyed that it forces you to use fans in pull only. I would have also wanted just a tad bit more depth to the case to be able to mod in a 480 rad. It's almost there but not quite.

Cooler Master and NZXT have to be my favorite case makers.

Both of your comments revitalized my love for this case...I will attach a fleshlight to it ASAP

For almost twice the price, it damn well better be.

wth.gif How you figure that? The fans on the front are mounted on the front are pushing air into the case, and rad fans can be mounted in push or pull or both.

regarding a rad at top, especially if you got like a swiftech or aquacomputer kit with the fill port at top, is there a place up top to fill the radiator or would you have to cut a hole for one?

If you didn't put fans under the top vents, looks like you could maybe take the top off and if things lined up right you might be able to fill it that way.

There isn't space here to put a decent sized rad on top of that tray. They intended that space for fans, hence in the other shot it showed the fans in pull with rad underneath. One could just mount the rad under and that tray and put fans in push but then you might has well slap fans on top and go push/pull. Thus going push only is not really feasible with high end fatty rads, sr1, rx, pa/ta... etc.

Sure it is. There is 90mm of space underneath the mounting points for the top fans. If you have a 240, you can keep the ODD bay. If you have a 360, you can either fit a rad that is 45mm or less with push fans, or remove the ODD bay and have the full 90mm. I mean last I checked, 55mm+25mm <90mm. But why would you go push only in the first place if there is already spots up top for pull? It's been shown that push/pull is the best setup.

:doh.gif

You didn't understand.

My first thought when I looked at the case was that I can't put a rad where these fans are. This case is specific in how it dictates you use it. I don't want push/pull because I don't want the noise. I just want the flexibility to put a rad up top. It would have been perfect if they made the tray at the highest part in the case, but instead it's not. It looks like it's all plastic from the metal tray up.
