And agreed... give it it's own power.. not through the mobo.

I doubt that you need to have 2 different voltages going to it. You may want to double check on that. You don't want to get them in and then have some thing go bad on you

I got wire for pwr, reset, HD-LED,PWR-LED and made super long. Got power and Reset buttons from frozencpu.com. Got extension cable for monitor and got external CD, DVD Drives. and got long cable for sound so can connect speakers. I never can stand noise. I can't even stand 30dba. Also My computer has to be queit enough for me to sleep so I did this. Complete silence. YEY

Edit: I use USB logitech bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

You only need one if you want to tone down the voltage. Make sure you get one that's beefy enough because most cheap ones will blow out on powerful fans.

Just buy it with the 3 pin to 4pin molex and it will come properly wired...IMHO I would only use these delta's on a 4 pin molex connected directly to PSU They draw a lot of amps.. Do you realize how loud these are? They have what is called the listening room there at Sidewinders it is in the left hand index colum, they have recordings of some of the different fans if you would care to listen..I personally would have to have a rheostat on one, and I like the sound of the big Sunnons...

Thanks. I'll go with 3 to 4pin molex adaptor. lol. Like I said noise is my least problem as long as my main computer stays on basement. But I personally get pair of earplug incase I have to go down ther for maintenance. lol

Bah, I hate such reliance on adapters. >< Just find some molex pins lying around and solder the damned thing.

They are loud!!! But since you've got them in the basement they might not blow out your eardrums...A friend of mine has 3 in his case on a rheostats, only uses the full voltage on big OC's and he wears those ear muff ear protecters....I went over to his house once and I could hear them from out in the driveway....Good Luck with it....don't blow out your ear drum's unless it's for a real good OC....

I'm kind of worried.
I thought 62dba is about the noise of a vacuum cleaner.
But I looked up how loud my leaf blower was and it was 65 dBA and its so loud that I have to put noise cancel headphone while I blow leaves.
62dba is about 65dba, and I didn't test yet, but I bet I can hear from my room even if it is in basement. lol.
I gotta test soon as I wake up.
But wouldn't the noise calm since it bounce around inside of the case? And maybe become like 52dba and bounce around the basement and when it pass the ceiling become 32dba. Also I could put bunch of foams, cloths, etc. to lower the noise. lol

Oh yea one good thing is that my ambient temp is going to be like 16c because I'm going to attach it with AC unit which is also in the basement.
