[Build Log] CaseLabs STH10 - Tri EVGA - SR-X - Dual LGA-2011 - H20 - Page 25

I think I will just go buy some cheap lamp that can hold fluorescent light at home depot. I am using construction lights atm, they are very strong, but the halogen lights are too yellow for my taste. LOL

Will keep on practicing product photography for fun, but what I like the most is interior design shot. Here is a shot I took for a client.

Anyhow...back on topic. When will you receive your SR-X mobo? tongue.gif

Like the kitchen shot.

I have some of those too, wife using them, since the others were to white for her smile.gif

I don't like them because they get way too hot.

Got the board the other day. Will post some pictures once I have a chance to take some.

I am trying to list a bunch of stuff on EBay to make some room in my garage.

I liked the original direction of this build just having massive amounts of raw compute power and was going to do one myself but I decided against it.

Main Reasons: Price to Performance for gaming is just not there. I could get the same performance out of a 2600K that I can out of a dual Xeon Build with no real appreciable gain for the main reason I would do the build (gaming) since I already have a Lenovo D10 workstation that was pulled from a working environment (CAD/CAM Work I do).

I could spend the extra 800$ I spend on 2 Hexacore Xeons vs 1 2600K on the motherboard and/or graphics cards. Plus the form factor for me just was not there in the 2 cases I currently have (STH10/M8 w/ Pedistal).

The sheer amount of bugs and issues I have been seeing with the SR-X for some of my friends who have one really steered me away from it. One of my close buddies has replaced just about every component in his system aside from the board itself and new bugs keep popping up that he cant solve. And he is a Comp. Engineering Major working on a Doctorate...

Overall Great Build however! Cant wait for more pictures of the setup.

Got some power cables sleeved and in the case for all the hard drives and ssds.

There are going to be lots of wires. frown.gif

I was able to slightly modify the hard drive power cables with out having to start from scratch.

It looks like I will need to lenghten all of the cables for the motherboard, none are long enough.

Can't wait to see pictures of this. What you did with your fan wiring was awesome. For those that haven't seen it....go back to like page 17 or so. Very cool. Cuts way down on amount of wires. And for anyone that is doing push/pull with several large radiators....you know how quickly all the fan wires can multiply.

Can't wait to see what you come up with for all the other custom wiring. Post pics when you can. Your build has saturated me with ideas. You'll see some of them as my current build log progresses. thumb.gif

Here are the Silverstone SATA splitters with line filters. I am using one for each set of 4 drives.

Card Reader Before and After blacking out the case and since it came with 2 covers, I ended up painting one was well (I didn't like all the writing on them).

Some of the power wires sleeved.

The small 120 Radiator tucked into the top of the center compartment (still needs fan) It was a tight fit.

Some of the wiring and small pumpo on the back side of the case.

Card Reader installed.

All of these pictures were taken free hand and not in my "phot booth" the case is getting to heavy to keep moving from one spot to another. frown.gif

This is an awesome build. I love it! thumb.gif I know what you mean about the case getting heavy. Even though I have casters on my TH10, this has become very handy for me. cheers.gif

I started sleeving some of the power cables.

I am going to use 3 colors - Black Gray and White.

Here is half of one of the 8 Pin Motherboard power connectors.

The Factory pins on the Seasonic PSU cables are VERY hard to remove.
