[Build Log] CaseLabs STH10 - Tri EVGA - SR-X - Dual LGA-2011 - H20 - Page 8

Got my first order from Aquacomputer.

I didn't want to have an issue with customs, so I decided to split up my order.

_DSC0514.jpg

Assembled the first set of PAs in their mounting bracket. Lots of little nuts and bolts.

I needed to order a few of the short device mounts from CaseLabs. I just couldn't cut the long ones.

Also ordered some M3 Stainless Bolts and Washers (EBay) I didn't feel like driving to West Marine.

Also, I am trying to fund most of this build with my profits from online sales. So far so good. Still have a long way to go.

why did you buy it advert?

it looks so weird...

the motherboard plate looks like it has 3 cut out holes for fans? and also as i can see has two openings for tubing to go through i guess

so your placing your pump above the case and not below i'm assuming. looking @ this case i want to see what kind of specifications i'm going to need if i'm going to buy it so this is a +

are you going to use 4 rads or only 2?

Plan on using 4 Radiators - all parts listed in the first post.

2 in the top compartment and 2 in the bottom.

There are 3 fan cutouts between the lower and middle and between the middle and upper compartments.

Not sure where the pumps are going to go, but probably the only place they are going to fit is in the middle compartment.

how many pumps are you planning to use?

i would definitely need a T-line x2 with this case forsure and at least 2 pumps. do you have any idea where your mounting your res?

the front panel where it holds the 3 fans doesn't seem appealing. you can definitely put some fans in there but cut out the boxes that hold the fans and place your res there.

i might be crazy but its just a though cause why would you need to put fans in your case now if your watercooling everything?

I plan on using 2 pumps. Not sure on the res, but probably a tall cylinder in the center compartment.

The 3 white compartments will hold 12 Hard Drives and have fans pulling in air to keep them cool.

Just because it's H20 cooled, doesn't mean you don't need fans, you need them to cool the radiators.

but the radiators are located above. the only thing it would be cooling is the HDD's like you said but it doesn't seem to have a mounting system. just saying

i'm only asking this kind of stuff so i myself are prepared to do things like this not to restrain you from your work :]

Hdd are mounted either behind mobo tray or on the 5.25" bays. You still need fans to move air around your mobo area.

edit: yeah, cheers for working properly quote.

There will be 3 120 fans in the white flex bay mounts that hold the hard drives. There is no need to modify them to accept the fans. They are designed that way. There is also one 120 fan in the rear and 4 small fans as well.

I don't think I will have a shortage of fans. There will be 36 fans total.

yeah the fans you can clip into those bays but those bays wont be holding any hdd's

so if you have space to put your res it could be on the side of the fan mounts

they made the white try behind the mobo tray for a reason i guess, hence i ask how many rads your going to use and if you wanted to create an array of hdd's be good to use the top as a storage system.

well who knows what will turn out still lots of work to go keep it up thumb.gif
