I really am glad that financial matters have necessitated rescheduling my upgrade/next rig till after the first of the year. This is definately going on my to do list for that build. Hopefully by then it will have come down in price even just under 6 bills would be nice after the sticker shock of that.

PS - I will write a review as soon as mine arrive.
Personally, I'm not impressed at all. See, the thing there besides that high speed, it's the voltage, at 2.40v the G.Skill DDR2 800 HZ can do DDR2 1080 @ 4-4-4-4, see it here: http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/9...0gskillcv9.jpg

I'm sure they could handle the 555 with a 4-4-4-12.
2.40v is the magic number that will make Micon D9s squeal like a pig. Now, if it were a 2.2v, then we're talking.

I agree with you to a point...I would still like to test it for myself though....If I don't like them, then they will go back....The verdict is still not out

Really? I mean, granted, the price is insane, but for being what they are, and being brand new.....I gotta say, I can't see how you can scoff at DDR2 1111 at 4-4-4-12.

And I am sure these "Dominators" can go lower on timings on the stock voltage for them. However, there is a price difference to consider of course. And of course, they have the active cooling =)

Are them there yet? I'd like to see the Dominators in action.

I had just read about these when I saw this post...lol
EF the price...I wanna see what they Oc to....DDR2 1698778798797
With the active cooling these things should be the "Terminators".

I'd buy it......it comes with its own George Forman Grills on top of the dimms.
