Thanks psi_guy, looks great. Did you buy the 1000 dollar one? Also do you think you can put a 2700k in it?

I didn't buy it, but thanks. It is the more expensive model. It has everything except the Blu-Ray drive.

As for the 2700k, I am sure if you can find a micro-itx board with an unlocked bios, it should work. Overclocking it might be tough because of power constraints and cooling.

Oh nice how did you get one for free? Reviewer? Dont think it will work on the stock mobo? Wouldnt even OC if it was in this little case. Plenty fast stock anyways.

the 2700k would probably work on the mobo that comes in the x51, but the bios is locked so you wouldn't be able to overclock it (therefore negating the need to ever put a k model in it). the 2600 is plenty fast at stock for any game out right now. even a 2500 would probably be fine.

True but I wanted to get the cheap one with a i3 in it and just put my 2700k in it.

I see no reason why it wouldn't work, but you might talk to someone at Dell/alienware about it before purchasing a x51.

Man, you'd have to really be in love with that case to spend $599 minimum just to gut the thing. You're nuts IMO, but a fool and his money...
