Project: 2 Heatercore, 4 Fan and a Pump Box! - Page 2

I don't get it. Where do you plan to place your fans ? Inside or outside.

If you put them outside and let them blow into the box, where is the air going to escape from ? If you put them inside and let them blow outise the box, wouldn't you drop the performance since there is nowhere to fresh air to get inside the box.

I haven't cut holes for the fans yet. They will be mounted outside, blowing in and through the heatercores The back plywood side will have the holes cut out, the side opposite the heatercore side. The box serves as a glorified fan shroud.

I didn't know you made one!

Yes, 44CFM on all 4 fans at 17 dba each- Very silent, very powerful setup And the pump will be isolated too, so no high-pitched noise, either.

Overall, a very compact, slick and extremely quiet setup

Tomorrow I am hoping to get the back panel cut for the 4 120mm fans and the holes drilled for the tubes to pass through.

See, I honestly don't need a massively-flowing air setup- In my crude tests it really does not make a difference if you are flowing 50 CFM through the 'cores or 40- Just that air is passing through. And with so much surface area it helps greatly...Which is why I chose the Enermax fans because they are dead silent and have a detachable fan blade setup for cleaning.

Some more progress

1. Template taped down, ready to be jigsawed.
2. Cut out circle- Got manual focus working
3. Holes drilled with the template still on, then removed the template itself.

Overall, a very smooth finish- I printed off 4 so I could, obviously cut, 4 holes
