Oh, dear GOD!!!! - Page 3

To be perfectly honest your not the only one to say Metro sucks and I personally have never had the inclination to try it out. The tomb raider games have also lost their appeal to me at least.

You need to get Deus Ex Human Revolution, Skyrim or Batman Arkham City. They may be console ports but they still look good and have great gameplay and storylines. If you haven't gotten Starcraft 2 yet I would recommend getting that too. These are the best games for PC and what everyone is talking about recently, not the first two games you listed.

Personally I love BF3 multiplayer but it takes a bit for you to get the feel for it considering the large map size and all the weapons to unlock and try out.

company of heroes and eve online (join a corp immediately) and age of mythology, all games have plenty of people online to enjoy.

I personally love company of heroes because it is they only rts that was truly balanced that i could get into, i could never like the sci-fi rts because i could never know what kills what. But in CoH its more familiar. I started playing eve like 2 months ago, and im addicted, I have a friend who has been playing for 7 years, it doesn't get old because it is player driven. And if you want to you can play for free by using the in game money.

My son has Starcraft 2 on my two other rigs and I can tell you from watching him play with his friends that I do not like that game. RTS games are just not my "thing". Thanks for all the tips. BTW, I got lucky and Amazon refunded my money for Lara Croft: Guardian of Life which I could tell in the first 5 mins of game play that I was going to hate. I miss the 3rd person thing w/ the earlier Tomb Raider games.

If RTS games were your thing I would have suggested Company of Heroes as well. To be honest I think you should consider trying it out anyway... even if you don't like RTS games, you might get into it. It's really good.

Other than that I'm gonna go with the whole Elder Scrolls suggestion. You can't lose with either Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim. Skyrim's storyline will probably make a lot more sense to you if you play Morrowind and/or Oblivion first, but it's not essential. The references to the Empire and Uriel Septim just won't really make as much sense. For a single player fan like yourself, you can't go wrong with those games. Combined between the 3 of those you've got a solid few months of gameplay.

I could play Oblivion right now; it's on two of my computers. It's a game my kids have played. Could also play Skyrim if I felt like tackling it on the 360.
