Overclocking Opty 165 and lovin it!!

So far I'm @ 2.75 GHz Stable, 1.3 vcore. I think I'm actually 1.32 vcore since my monitoring software is usually a little off. I don't usually brag, but I have to with a near 1GHz boost on stock VCore.....wonder how high this one'll go??

I think my memory may be holding me back....can't get any higher without adding a whole bunch of volts to it (the CPU that is), and still can't get past 2.9 GHz no matter what. I have the same memory timings as in my first post above, running 250 MHz, and CPU "lowered" to 2.5 GHz and failed Memtest for Windows within 15 min.'s, but for some reason it's stable @ 2.75 .

Anyone have any experience with this CPU and Memory (G Skill HZ DDR500),

The same thing happened to me with memtest in windows, it just fails no matter what. If you can get a 12+ hour Prime95 on "both" settings that is considered a unbreakable OC by any standards. If you try memtest I say to the bootable CD version or get a copy of Ubuntu as it has memtest built in the bootable CD.

Right on......I've just never had a memtest problem with a P95 stable system.........and I've made this PC freeze more than once, even froze @ stock settings so could be software related.
