What you forget is the lower image quality is faster to render so the ulta high player will be dead before his image is updated no matter how fast your internet speed is.

Faster hardware equals faster translation times. If you can work the latency out of your mouse, that makes translation even quicker. That's what I've learned!

I beat all video games of the world that were ever created and I have the best upgrades best cpu gpu 3d display and eyefinity best razer mouse but the biggest advantage when I'm playing a game is 5.1 surround razer barracuda headset, I can here exactly where people are running and I just shoot them through the corner

I think it comes down moreso to good internet/low latency. Sure a 1080p screen will help, and a fancy mouse, but I see lag as the worst enemy for FPS gaming. Not that a good gpu and rig can't help, if you are running the game smoothly with high fps that would be nice too. biggrin.gif

Pretty cool that you got that much better, but of course the cost was a fair amount lol.

I just ordered a gaming backlit keyboard which will also benefit me and than my next quest is a 5.1 surround headset.

Do they really make a difference?

Yeah the cost was good. Especially in Turkey where things are 1.5 times to twice more expensive. But I am set for 3 years with that CPU overclocked and GPU. (fingers crossed)

Yes 5.1 headset makes huge difference. Mouse doesn't matter because games like cod and bf 3 have iron sights which means any no skill noobs can aim.
It used to matter only in the past when people played quake that you have razer sharp precision aiming.

To quote some audiophile elitists:

"A pair of great Stereo headphones will put any 5.1 gaming headset to shame."

There's all sorts of reasons, including:

1. You need speaker separation to reproduce surround properly.
2. It's likely the headset is just a gimmick surround in that it has two speakers and it simulates the surround. This is particularly the case for those USB headsets that bypass a good sound card entirely (another issue here if you have a good sound card!).
3. If the headset has more than two speakers, they will inevitably be small and reproduce sound at a worse quality.
4. Overall bad sound staging.

I didn't believe all the above myself until I gave up my Roccat Kave 5.1 (italicised to emphasise the silliness of calling it 5.1) headset and went for JVC HA-RX900 headphones, which I modified with Dynamat and burned-in for 100 hours. The difference was MAGNIFICENT. Now THAT'S good sound staging that does not need anything beyond plain, old Stereo to give you a true-to-life sense of what's going on all around you (seriously - this pinpoints everything a lot more accurately than any surround headset).

No barracuda has actual 6speakers built in and doesn't use usb, it plugs in directly into audio channels of your sound card.
The quality of the sound doesn't matter for defeating an enemy you are not listening to orchestrae, you only need to know the location of the footsteps where the opponent is coming from when you use 5.1you know exactly where they are

I just recieved my Logitech g110 keyboard.

Well I can assure you that having a backlit keyboard does make things much easier so I can see that it helps me a lot. Probably more than everyone else because I have a habit of confusing where the keys are at dark.

However the kew keyboard layout is a bit different than my other keyboard`s so I will need to get used to the new one fast.

The keyboard comes with a trillion macro keys and to be honest I didnt find them to be perfectly usable. I have everything I need on the regular keyboard keys so no need for Macros yet. Though my mind can always change.
