Looking for Sound Card and 5.1 Speaker Advice on a Budget :]

Ok, I'm building my first gaming rig, and I need some advice about audio. I am looking for a sound card that is no more $90. I would use it for music, gaming and movies. I play ALOT of games and always blast my music. I have also yet to decide on what speakers to buy, but I am currently looking at these speakers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121044 they fit my budget and are 5.1.
Im also looking at this sound card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829271001

If anyone has any suggestions that would fit my budget and would be of better quality please let me know ^-^

I have only heard amazing things about HT Omega. But you can't pair a $90 sound card with a $90 5.1 speaker system.

As for the speakers...lol. It's surround sound, but it's not Dolby Home Theater or THX certified. It doesn't support any type of digital input. The specs on the Z506 don't even give the signal to noise ratio or the total harmonic distortion....because it's probably terrible.

From my experiences with surround sound, it's go big or go home. Logitech only has one system that has true surround sound, the Logitech Z906. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121050 . The Z906 has a 95 DB SNR will will compliment your sound card.

If you get the $90 speakers, you don't need a fancy $90 sound card. If you get that $90 sound card, you need to be in the $300 price range for speakers, or your speakers will hold your sound card back.

Another alternative is to get a $90 sound card with a $90 2.1 speaker system. That seems a better fit,

You're recommended to give up your hopes and dreams of a 5.1 set up and just go with a nice 2.1 set up. Lower your sound card budget to 50-60 and get a Xonar DX. Raise 2.1 speaker budget and buy Klipsch ProMedia 2.1s from ebay or CL.

Much better than those Logitechs, trust me.

I looked at the Xonar DX, and it is about the same price as the HT Omega on Newegg. Would I not be better off getting the Omega Soundcard (again I would use it for gaming and music)

and I will certainly take a loot at the ProMedia speakers ^.^ I know very little about speaker systems in general so thank you for the input! :] I will look more into 2.1 speakers of a higher quality.
