no worries man, its not stupid to ask in fact you kinda answered your own question. Ambient temps are the temps that your PC is in. So the temperature of the room your sitting in would be the ambient temp. Without knowing the ambient temp of the room your in, your cpu and case temp are next to useless information.
My ambient temp is a uncomfortable 30C= about 86F all the time because its a small room with many PC's running. So my cpu temps tend to suffer because of the hot room..
I believe its generally cool up there in Seattle so I can bet your ambient temps in general are low, unless your in a situation like me, lol..
