Noob here: Need help overclocking

Hey. I am a noob at overclocking and need help overclocking only to 4.0ghz i don't need any more then that.

I am afraid i will ruin something

Temperature and voltages are the two main things to watch out for. Do a quick search and you'll be on your way. I would start with bumping the multi up and running prime to see when it fails on stock voltages. That will give you a baseline. Then go for a 40x multi and take a guess at voltage. You could always go the route of just jumping into a 40x multi with the voltage at 1.4 and then keep dropping the voltage down until you are unstable and then raise it back to the last stable setting. Get a temp monitoring program and you are off to the races.
