Doesnt matter if its SLI/Crossfire certified or not.
As long as it provides enough Amps on the 12v rail it will be fine which yours has more then enough of.

Also since you got the 1gb model dont waste your money on a 2nd card with 2gb since it will only be able to use 1gb of that.

So the certification is nothing more than a marketing gimmick?

Really? BF3 only uses 1gb of memory on a video card?

yeah pretty much

all you need is

-a board that will run what you need
-a psu with enough juice for what you need

that certify crap is just that they sent the psu over the gpu company plugged the psu in and it turned on

they say good and its certified

if you have a 1gb card and 2gb card the vram automatically jumps to the lowest common size so a 1gb card and a 2gb card will cause the 2gb card to only use1gb of the available 2 gb

I got more information in 10 mins from you guys than I did from reading basic reviews and stuff this whole week...this is truly a great site...thanks again guys...

Now that I know that I can Crossfire...would I see a huge difference in getting 2x MSI Lighting 6970's? My 750x Seasonic should power those fine right?

Yes 2x6970's will perform MUCH better than a single 6850.

yeah those will be no problem

2 of bout any single high end card will do fine but 2 x 580/480 might be pushing it and 1 x 590/6990 will also be fine on your psu
yeah 2 6970's will be a major upgrade 3 fold easily

Re: p4 2.4ghz

You would see a massive difference and that power supply is plenty to run both 6970s.
