Help me out, I am not sure if I did anything wrong or what may be wrong! (overclocking issue)

Hey guys I am completely new on overclocking, I recently installed MSI afterburner and tried to do some clocking to try to make to computer more powerful, I didn´t read into about over clocking a lot other then to go slowly on the sliders and try my way.

everything went smoothly, when I noticed artifacts I just slided back a bit and stayed there.

I put the fan on 100%

one day I turn my computer on and I see my core clock is on 425 Mhz and Memory clock slide on 666Mhz

all other sliders shader clock and fan speed are now greyed out and cant be changed and the Memory clock is stuck on 666mhz and cant be moved at all.

The pc works, no problems as far as I can see until I try playing any game at all, and when I do... it lags even on the lowest settings, and this on games that I had on Max settings before trying to clock anything.

project reality mod and Empire total war are now unplayable

I don´t know what to do really... I tried formating my computer and to reset it to factory settings I believe but this didnt work either

The computer when I bought it worked really well and nothing was wrong with it, the problems came only when I tried to overclock by my self

information about my computer:

Processor: AMD 64 X2 Dual core 6000+ 3.0 Ghz

RAM: 2GB

Hmm , try downloading GPU-z , RIVATUNER and furmark , first compare the stock frequencies to the current ones in gpu-z , then open furmark , set it up as below
700
run it and check the GPU and memory load it should be around 95 and 95 percent

waiting for you thumb.gif

If your North Bridge heatsink isn't adequate you can get artifacting issues quite easily, as this is an integrated video. I remember getting artifacts in a demanding DX10 game with the i945 integrated video just playing at 800x600.

Highly recommend snagging a dedicated video card of some kind!
