Which fans should I get?

OK, so here is my dilemma/confusion. I have a Fractal Design XL case. I have a NZXT Sentry Mix fan controller on the way. I'd like to stick to white fans with a black surround. I currently own 2 NZXT FN 140RB fans. I have one installed, without the fan controller. It works great, and was super cheap. My concern is that the FN 140RB fans are only rated up to 1300 RPM +/-10%. Does this mean that my fan controller won't be able to make them spin at say 600 or 1700 rpm? Or does it mean that they will simply break at that speed? If the answer to either question is yes, would the NZXT FX-140LB fan, which is rated at 1000-2000RPM +/- 10% be a good option? My goal is to be able to modulate the fans from barely moving to full blast hurricane winds. (I like tinkering and having control. I want all the power.)

I'd like to stick around 20$ per fan, but I'd be willing to go much higher if it made sense. Any alternate suggestions would be great appreciated. thumb.gif /newbness over.

that +/- 10% is the speed which they will run off the controller they probably won't hit the exact RPM either 10% higher or lower depending on what's behind of in front of them.

has plenty of power for more fans on those channels up 50 watts pre-channel that's about 4 amps per channel and the low speed fan is 0.13 amps and high speed fan is only 0.24 per-fan

It's rare that a controller will send the fan far past its rated max rpm, but most fans can be slowed quite a bit, depending on the fan's particular starting voltage. That quality is not always easy to determine; just depends on the model/brand. I have a 120mm that is 1200rpm stock but can be turned down to 400rpm. The +/- just means that the rated rpm is a close estimate of what it will run at because it's never exact. That way nobody complains that their fan is running at a few dozen rpm slower or faster than the box says, or whatever.
