Check my £400 water cooling list please for SB

To go in my TJ07, will use a radiator stand to mount the rad and fans (pushing into the rad from the case mesh) against the case panel's mesh

I know there is no res or fan's by the way

Not sure what fans to use either really with this rad, it says its optimised for low rpm, or is that just marketing? I don't mind cranking the fans up when I'm gaming anyway thumb.gif

My main concerns are the rad, and the blocks. Just going on a 2500k and a unlocked 6950

Edit: Also, I know a 480 might be over kill, but I could end up with either getting another 6950 or swapping for a 7970 in the coming few months, and I though I have a TJ07 with all this space down bottom, might as well use it eh? There is no overkill on OCN right? thumb.gif

You managed to ninja me uploading a new image biggrin.gif It's all in there mate, on the sig rig, 2500k and 6950

Edit: Also, its been over a year since I really looked into watercooling, and whilst I'm looking into it, can anyone tell me if there is a big difference betwen a 140mm rad and 120mm rad? (Don't tell me the difference is 20mm either rolleyes.gif )

Once you've added fans, barbs and a res your gonna want to add roughly an extra £100 on that total.

As for what fans then Ultra Kaze's all the way. Not the cheapest but 3000rpm can't be argued with. Obviuosly you'll be able to adjust there speed with your control but they do make a bit of a funny noise when ran under 50%. 50% is pretty quite though.

The only thing I would change is the diameter of your tubing. Very, very minimal difference in performance between sizes. I just much prefer the look of the slightly slimmer 3/8 ID tubes.

edit: Also be careful with the cheaper fan controllers. I've had a couple pop on me. Hasn't caused any damage to anything. Just false economy if you have to keep buying a replacement. Some struggle to run fans at 100% as well. More like 80-90%.

Don't think a 38mm fan will agree with my idea's to be honest, but good call. And yeah the two I had do sound awful at lower rev's, so I'll stick to a 25mm fan, maybe a gentle typhoon or yate loon. I wouldn't mind those Orange Xigmatech Fans either rolleyes.gif

Also, I like the look of the 1/2" diameter tubing if I'm honest tongue.gif

Everyones different. Most important is to get what you like and are happy with thumb.gif

Don't really see what you could improve on. I don't know anything about that particular CPU block but I've always had XSPC ones as they more often than not are one of the best performers.

Love the look of Plexi blocks but me personally I worry I'll over-tighten them. Being a mechanic you'd think I should be good at judging these sort of things redface.gif

And as for fans again I don't know what to suggest then really as I haven't looked for a while. I just always get Kaze's if I need them.
