Good OC for Unlocked PCI/AGP speed

Thread Starter
Let me make this simple if you dont understand:
I CANT CHANGE VOLTAGE, PCI/AGP ARE UNLOCKED AND ARE NOT CHANGEABLE

Im using Samsung 512 x 2 TCCC ram. Default timmings where 3.0-4-4-8, but I tryed 2.5-3-3-5 with 210fsb and runing fine, Than 220Fsb with stock voltage to CPU (1.4V) and memory (2.5V) it wasnt stable so I bumped up 3-3-5 to 4-4-6 and its stable I hope

So what do you think.. My PCI/AGP Speeds are 36/70

with unlocked PCI/AGP, I would not get any higher than that. That is, if you value your video card.

Your mobo has a VIA chipset which is NOT known for its OC'ing power. Your pretty much stuck with your current OC.

Leave it. Can't lock those buses:

The values depend on CPU Host Frequency(Mhz).
Thus, when you increase CPU frequency, the bus frequency will go up also..

You might have a few more MHz left, but I think like 72 - 73 MHz on the AGP bus is the highest I would take it.

Yea, I mit test it tommrow. One more Question? is it the BIOS that makes the PCI/AGP speeds go up with the FSB or is the chipset that does that. If its just a BIOS im sure I can try to edit the BIOS to edit out the unlock on PCI/AGP speeds than flash?

I can think of 2 boards that overclocked good with VIA chipsets. NON pro.

1. K8V-SE overclocked well with my CPU but it had that promise and VIA SATA confilt and my harddrive didnt work

2. MSI-6330. I got my duron from 900mhz to 1GHZ +

I wouldn't fool with the Bios to try to fix your issues.
The MAIN issue is the VIA chipset (which sucks)...and you'd be surprised at what that Samsung TCCC can do.
