Don't waste your money on an iPad 2 now, Apple is likely to publish the third gen today if I'm correct. Sorry that was just Apple's educational event tongue.gif soon anyway!
Nonetheless you should opt for that 7970, more value for your money!

Buy whatever gets the best resale value, since in 3 months you'll be selling whatever it is you buy today and buying something different. smile.gif

IMO, screw the ipad 2, its really just bragging rights. Personally to me a 7970 is worthless, because most PC game graphics haven't really improved since the 5xxx series to justify it yet. I don't know about you, but I do some decent game playing on the go, or at least I would if my laptop was newer. why not think of getting a actual laptop? If you willing to invest in a crappy ipad, get a actual laptop, that can do 10x more then a Ipad. You obviously play video games if youre considering a 7970. You can find a decent laptop with gaming potential for 500-600.

Stop recommending him to buy another 6xxx AMD card. He just sold two 6950s to get a 7970... until this.

James, I am disappoint.

Perhaps that wasn't the wisest decision.

This, hands down, since your games dont require much GPU usage, and if you dont mind me asking, why in the world a 2600k? what do you do? That Transformer is one of the best/if not the best android tablets on the market, plus an attachable dock if you so ever choose to buy it, which increases battery life, add USB ports, full sized memory card slots, a Physical Keyboard and a touchpad. It also has a quadcore + 1 Tegra 3 system and is quick on its feet.

Or..

what the others said, a Kindle fire and a used 6970.

7970, since you already have an iPhone, so it'd just be redundant.

I really second the cheaper/better tablet+6970 used option; then you can play anything and still have something you'll play with for a week and lose interest in.
