Who said you had to search? It's in the tutorials section.

Now instead of selecting "Local Path" like in that guide. You will select "Web Server" and enter
Code:
http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

The Public IP that HP gives you. It shouldn't be that hard.

It seems like you didn't set up the server properly. I'm able to get a no errors when adding that IP to HFM, but it seems like nothing is running on the machines.

Thanks a ton for this guide. Also JedixJarf your guide helped a ton. Currently folding at 110k points off the server. I have 5 invites if anyone is looking to support the OCN team send me a PM
post #115 of 375
Jedi is the man, I've got six 8-core servers running now, all monitored and running bigadv. I messed up one by going to quick, but as soon as the WU completes it should be back to normal for the next one.

Edit: Make that eight 8-core

I set them up side by side so I am certain they are exactly the same.. Will be looking into this tonight, but I can't do much from here frown.gif

The problem is that you are running it on a virtual OS on their servers. Its pretty much luck of the draw and hope that you get on a server where other people are not taxing the CPU. It is probably better to set them up a little while apart so you do not get both of your instances on the same server. That will hopefully improve the chance that both of the setups are on different physical servers and hopefully both of few other people and no other folder.

EDIT: The IP address of the setups are an indication of how far apart the servers are located since each one gets their own. Although it is no guarentee since the server you may still get on might still have other people folding or doing other non helpful things

Can someone tell me why people are using that? Why not just Putty?
I mean, if the guys at EVGA can do it. I'm sure others can too.

Ok. Got it working using Putty and PuttyGen. Five 8 core clients and one 4 core client.
The "Cloud" is doing some serious F@H for OCN now!!! biggrin.gif

How does everyone have the client options set up for best PPD? -advmethods? -bigadv?, ???

Thanks.

-bigadv for the 8ps, -advmethods for the 4p. ;)
