Did I do something incorrectly?

I'm trying to use dual graphics on my laptop but I'm not quite sure if I did it right or not.

So far it seems like my graphics card isn't doing jack and only the APU is functioning. I have no idea what to do frown.gif

http://i.imgur.com/KgTgM.png <--- It shows that my 6470M has nothing. When I play games only the 6520G chipset bar moves

http://i.imgur.com/FSfOj.png <--- My "Enable AMD Radeon Dual Graphics" option is ticked.

Could it be possible I downloaded an incorrect driver? I'm so confused D:

HELP!

It looks like a software issue, I had that issue before in which my 2nd 5850 was not recognized by CCC, and the monitoring wasn't working either. After un-installing and re-installing my GPU drivers, all was well.

Only in Full Screen Mode when playing game the second GPU will kick in. What you are seing in the pic is in idle sleep mode to save power.

I've reinstalled the drivers, still the same result.

Is there a way for me to confirm if it's working or not cause it's hard for me to find out cause if it only works in Full Screened games I'll never find out.

Yes, download GPU-z (free program) and post both of the BIOS'es here. You can do that by clicking the green arrow button next to "BIOS Version".

There's nothing wrong with both GPUs as indicated by the GPU-Z.

It says "ULPS Active". ULPS; Ultra Low Power State. Meanings, the second GPU is idle sleep power saving mode to save power consumption in "jobless states".

If you really need to see the activity, either use the GPU-Z "log file", play some games in Full Screen Mode then open that log file to see the activities, or plug in another monitor to see the activity "live" using GPU-Z.

Is there a way to make it not ULPS? Since on the GPU-Z thing says that the 6470M is disabled and that makes me uneasy :|

I don't know, I guess it just makes me tick (OCD)

Yes.

To disable ULPS

Start>Search>Regedit>Ctrl-F>Find "ULPS".

Change "EnableUlps" to 0 under the 0000 and 0001 or 0003 keys

Get Msi Afterburner and look at the OSD settings, this will show you in fullscreen games the gpu usage gpu temps and many more things.
you can also tick the gpu-z refresh in background box and open it for each gpu to see if it was utlized when gaming in fullscreen.
