One I have in mind is the ASUS M4A79 Deluxe. Never owned it, but from what I heard/read that its a solid board. Comes with lots of features, and tons of options for PCI Express (only supports Crossfire).

You never stated where you're able to buy it from, but I was able to google it and came across this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUSTeK-COMPUTER-M4A79-DELUXE-AM2-Intel-Motherboard-/130631629948?pt=Motherboards&hash=item1e6a407c7c

Hope this helps. Good luck!

added to my watch list because the price was only $40 lol. But if it's more than ~$50, I'll keep looking. for an AM2+ board, I'm really looking for a proven OC'ing board that has a reputation for being able to do 450+ FSB and have great power delivery, and I haven't heard anything suggesting that asus before.

DDR2 boards will be best for locked chips because they can push the FSB, for your athlon II's and semprons etc they are a must. There's also the bonus of being able to bench AM2 chips. For AM3 black editions they are gonna get panned by the newer ddr3 boards in SPI particuarly.

This is the M2RS, not the M2RSH, what's the difference between the two?

I may be mistaken, but the m2rsh holds the record for highest ref clock on AMD I think. It's best ref clock is about 40Mhz higher than the m2rs.

There are other boards that come very close to it, that actually can be found available for purchase in the wild - you would be hard pressed to find the lanparty anywhere. ud4p was mentioned earlier in this thread, and isn't bad, but there are better options.

Lol, there was a pristine m2rsh in the for sale section for 2 months, which I got a couple of weeks ago. Also got a UD4P pretty fast after putting up a wanted thread , so they are definately out there. Just got to look wink.gif
