I was wondering what turbo core does and does it help overclocking, I tried x18 for 3.6ghz at 1.4v but it didn't shut down properly, and I had to remove the battery.. So I went back to 3.4ghz and 1.35v. Would turbo core help my 3.6 overclock

For the average overclock, No it wont help. It will just make things more complected.
Iv your on your absulte limit with some cores erroring and you know the other cores can go a bit further. Then yeah it can be of benifit to get some more performance out of your rig.

But then you have to stress test those as well which takes even more time.
