Dilemma: Upgrade or Not?

Hello.
Can you sugest please, if i should buy new ram or not.
Iam using Kingston 2x2GB DDR3 1600Mhz CL 9-9-9-27 1.65V

I have found on internet cheap DDR3 sticks:
CORSAIR 4GB 1600MHz XMS3 PC3-12800 CL7-8-7-20 1.65V
part number is CMX4GX3M1A1600C7
price is 15 USD per stick. Unlike dual channel pair cost 70 USD.
But this is just one stick, not kit of 2, i want to buy 2 of them and use it in dual channel.

What do you think, will they work in dual channel or not?

It can't hurt to upgrade to 8gb of ram, I would think buying 2 individual sticks of the same stuff would run dual channel fine. Kits can be had for around $30-40 for matched pairs. Are you in the US or elsewhere? But $30 for two of those sticks, as long as shipping is cheap or free would be a good buy. IMO

"dual channel" memory is just memory that has been tested together to make sure that they will work in the same settings, same timings, and should generally o/c the same together. honestly there isn't going to be any real world difference between the two, i'd try to lower your settings on the current ram that you have, i'm sure you can get similar settings.

I agree with identitycrisis, DDR3 is cheap right now so if you think you may need more then 4GB in the future before replacing the machine I would get the RAM.
