[MT] BitFenix Outs Full Tower Shinobi XL - Page 10

Really like the case and think it may be my next purchase, but a bit confused by the radiator placement. If you put a 360 up top and a 360 in front, I know you lose the HDD cage, but do you lose the 5.25" bays? If so, how many are usable?
Sorry for the late reply Okipa, the 360 in front will lose 2 5.25" bays.
edit: 3 bays, not 2.

So 360 front and lose 2 bays out of five. Doesn't that mean that you could fit a 480 front (and lose all bays)?

Sorry, it's more like 3 bays gone. Looking at the wrong holes.. redface.gif
That being said, I'm interested in what the modding community can do to this case.

Hmm... Would be a close fit for the 480... The case is 570mm and RX480 is 534mm...

Many thanks for the reply! I'm assuming a top mounted 360 takes up the other top 1 or 2 bays....I'm starting to formulate some ideas. Such a nice product, a 360 and a 240 with no modding is fantastic.

Still wondering how the front 360mm rad fits confused.gif Seems like there might be a cutout in the odd drive cage to fit one there. This is very tempting. Now I need a window door and I'm sold biggrin.gif

The Shinobi xl uses the same window panel as the Colossus.
Can't tell you how the 360 rad will sit there but in one pic it looks like half of the bottom of the odd bay has been cut off.

You're welcome. And this was just a paper release. And I dunno about NCIX but one local retailer says on their site that the shinobi xl can be ordered in a week or two.
