How do people aim so well in console fps? - Page 12

I play on the PS3 and right now I'm doing pretty good on a controller compared to PC. I have battlefield 3 on PS3 and just recently bought PC for the graphics and 32vs32 maps. However I just found out that I suck terribly on a mouse because my hand moves in every single degree. Or maybe because I'm still trying to find my sensitivity. But on CoD-BO2 I'm pretty decent at shooting, it must be because I've been playing majoirty of my FPS (Modern Warfare 2/Black Ops/Battlefield 3) on my console for so long. Not to mention I prefer using semiautomatics(Fal on hardcore ftw).
As for aim assist, I do have it on but most of time I already have the gun aimed down before someone pops up or they're far where aim assist does nothing.

You can't turn the aim assist all the way off on any console games as far as I know. They still have buffers that slow it down and help you to aim, it just doesn't hold it on the target for you.

I am much better with a controller even on PC games then with a mouse an keyboard. It's just feels weird using a mouse and keyboard to me and i have never gotten use to it. I would much rather be able to use a controller with console like aids on the PC then a keyboard. If they would impliment controllers better for PC games, then i think that would bring a few people over to the PC side.

It sucks when you're trying to shoot a moving target and aim assist messes you up your aim frown.gif

I love controllers honestly. Aim assist is garbage imo

Theres a cheaper version called the XIM EDGE out that works just as good as the Xim 3 and its is true 1:1 motion with a mouse and keyboard. I played MW# with it for awhile and was amazing back when that COD was relevant.

I'm thinking about hooking up my PS3 controller to my HTPC with a big screen and using big picture mode. If one of my "console" friends play Counter-Strike, they will be completely destroyed.
Really though, they should take the best BF3 team of 16 for PC and Console and give the console guys a controller hooked up to a PC.

it really depends what you are more comfortable with. I grew up with console controllers so i find it weird playing shooters with a keyboard and mouse. RPG's are no problem though

same. me + kb/mouse + fps = fail. much easier with controllers for me. as said it's all about what you get used to. i do however recognize that this is why i cannot play multiplayer very well except on consoles but it is what it is. been working on it with very little success in transitioning.

Indeed.
I use a XIM Edge for BOII and some Halo 4. The only thing you have to worry about is turn speed in a few games, such as Halo.
In BOII it's very close to PC, in Halo I have to be careful not to try to do a 180 too fast or else I'll hit the limit.
