Complex maybe but fun, that's just your opinion. I personally think over-complicating video games is a factor ruining today's generation of video games. I'm not talking about ping simple but binding 20 different things is ridiculous. I play on OCN's Minecraft server and some of the other players are talking about having countless macros for everything.. Like really!

Remove ALL aim assist (primarily for the console player) and limit the performance and frame rate of the PC player and equalize the number of usable keys on the keyboard to the number of buttons on a controller and I promise, there will not be much of a difference between two equally skilled players.

Unfortunately, there's really no other video game that supports cross platform play for a player on PC to fight against a player on console except for the one mentioned earlier but it's still a reliable test. You could even use an Xbox 360 controller while playing over Windows LIVE. The main advantage of PC was its higher frame rate and even with that, it wasn't an overwhelming significance.

I've been a console player for years now and I can only wonder how people can be that accurate with mouse and keyboard.
In fact, it depends on how much you play and what you play.

Really, you think today's games are over-complicated?

Did you start gaming in the Pong generation and take a nap under a rock until now?

There is no Auto Aim in COD, there is aim assist, pretty much if you are shooting a person and they move slightly to the left or right, the console will slightly adjust.
i personally turn it off.

false!
i have played cod, blacklight, and some other shooters on pc. i tend to stomp pc players with my xbox controller.
granted i cant use keyboard and mouse for crap.

Especially when I shoot the motor cycle instead of the guy standing next to it with a shot gun shooting at me even though my sights are on the guys head

However, a few rare people can get really damn good with those controllers. I have seen a guy playing a PC game (meaning no auto aim) with an XBOX controller and he can snap the analog stick from head shot to head shot. It is amazing to see. However, the same guy will get killed from the sides far more often then me since he doesn't look around as much as I do with the mouse...so he will always have more kills than me, but I will always have less deaths.

The day keyboards and mice can be used on a console in the same fashion as they are used on PC right now...i will likely never upgrade my PC for gaming again. However the few attempts to do so don't really work all that well yet. The mouse won't act like a mouse...it will still act like an analog stick. Quickly moving the mouse to the right does nothing different than slowly moving the mouse to the right.

You are aware though that turning it off doesn't completely turn it off, right? There's still a minute amount of aim assist that's built-in and cannot be disabled. Epic sadface! If there wasn't that small amount, my K/D would likely double to over 4.0 on CoD as unfortunately, half of its player base can't seem to figure out how to aim accurately. Can you say drop shot..! lol

I've never tried to but I never knew you could play with a keyboard and mouse. I know you can type using a keyboard but..

Yes, you can use a M+KB with an adapter.

Beware of low turn-speeds in certain games, though.

I've got a friend who, I can't for the life of me figure out, is a pro using gamepads. I mean headshots galore with no aim assistance.

I used to be pretty good at it when I was younger, the trick is strafing into your shot since it's easier to hit.

Xbox is so easy I don't know how you people play with keyboard and mouse
Xbox pros play with a remote with added buttons but no major difference compared to a normal Xbox controller (2programable buttons) usually 1 drop shot for cod and a rapid fire switch
