How do people aim so well in console fps? - Page 20

Dumb argument? The biggest argument for using a mouse over a controller is the precision. Wouldn't styluses be even more precise?

@Surround: Please learn the difference between "Auto-aim" and "aim assist".
@TFchris: What is different about playing first person shooters on a console than on gaming rig? They're both made of all the same type of parts. Did you mean "controller users for first person shooters make you cringe"?

I may have and use a gaming PC but this is why I'll never be PC player over a console player, the ill-reasoned hatred.
Also at @TFchris, if you want precision then why are you still playing with a lousy mouse? Why aren't you using a stylus on a touch screen?

Precision in a first person shooter with a stylus and touch screen??? Do you even know what you are talking about?
My "lousy" Deathadder Razor mouse has 3500dpi... Do you want me to elaborate more?

But can your mouse compete with Bishop from Aliens? That android would be a beast with a stylus. I hereby declare all PC gamers should contact Weyland Industries immediately for their new gaming model. biggrin.gif

In all seriousness, if you have the co-ordination, a stylus could be pretty viable as being superior to using a mouse if you didn't have to drag an aiming cursor across a screen with it (though it would take something rather special to pull of turning and looking aswell). Not so keen on touch controls for movement though. Prefer control pad for that.

Think a stylus would be more suited to RTS and isometric RPG's, etc than a standard FPS.

It can be pretty ridiculous, but there are some good people out there.

We mapped CS:GO to a controller recently at a lan party.

The controller guy got Stomped so hard, didn't even get one kill - He was knifed more times than i can count too.

The aiming comes from practice, and Muscle reflex thumb.gif

You've obviously never actually tried gaming with a stylus. I have. Doesn't work.

tbh I can aim half decently on pc.. I'm useless on a console; where as a friend of mine is amazing on the console and horrible on the pc. It's all preference and what you get used to.
