It comes down to muscle memory. Just like pc gamers.
Many people want to bash on one or the other but lets see some 1337 pc gamer go over to console and see how good he will do, I promise he will rage quit when matched against skillful player/players.
In the other hand its the same if a 1337 console player came to pc.
People play on certain platform cause that is what they are used to.
Ive played on all platforms so dont listen to guys that are one sided and are fanboys of what they play.
Time playing will hone skills.

But the fact is, the average PC gamer is much better at shooters than the average console gamer.

Mostly thanks to the control.

not true, you cannot compare the two players. Maybe the tactics you can compare but not the handling of the game.

The average pc player will play pc better than the average console player can play pc. But that is a given. Of course someone will play better than someone else that doesnt even play on that platform.

You might as well say, "oh well a motorcyle driver is better than a car driver, they can turn into corners better."

You cant compare pc skills to console skills. If you think that get your best pc player and I can shut them down on console, plain and simple. Why can I do that, well its simple cause ive played console more than that pc player.

I have BF3 on PC and XBox and the xbox just feels better... the graphics are crap but the game feels right to me but i'm a padder! ADS will get any decent player killed sometimes as there is no target selection, two close targets moving in different directions and the box picks the one that ads snaps to, not a good thing if you're after shooting the other one first!

Check out my stats on BF3 too. I'm crap on PC and a hell of a lot better on Xbox. If only they would take out the 12g frag and M320 I'd probably never die!!

I'd love to figure out how to mod a keyboard and mouse to my Xbox 360. I hate controllers and my thumbs get sore after playing for an hour or two.

Perhaps, but what if you had an Xbox player vs a PC player on their respective hardware in the same game? I wonder what the result would be...

I can't use a console controller in fps games to save my life. Hate them, beyond words.

I predict it would pan out as a competitive game. At that point it would come down to play styles and so on. Just as it does now with MLG games.

If you play console, lead with the cross-hair. The auto-aim and cross-hair leading, as in don't just walk down a hallway aim down the hallway and follow the cross-hair, aim the cross-hair up a flight of stairs before moving up the stairs, this combo will keep your gun on the enemies heads.

You can't (or its very hard) to flinch aim, or react instantly, like you can on a computer with mouse and keyboard.
With console you have to use the auto-aim to your advantage. The area which auto-aim triggers is dependent on the game either large or small, leading with the cross-hair maximizes its' effect.

I know that some console games have huge hit boxes rather then auto-aim. I don't know how big the hit boxes are in Battelfield 3 PS3 version but I do know that when I played it and saw how big the crosshairs were I could not help but to chuckle.

This whole thing made me LOL. You havent read any thing posted have you?
AA is only on a few games, mainly cod.

Flinch aiming and instant reaction time is what sets the scoreboard players apart, whether is console or pc gamers.

haha im sorry but your whole comment was just.... bad.
