How do people aim so well in console fps? - Page 10

They don't.

Just look at videos by the top console players, and then look at videos by the top PC players.

I've found it to be really obvious in BF3.

The auto aim definitely provides an edge. It's just a matter of practicing and getting used to it. Every game has a unique feel.

Spend enough time on one task, and you better hope you get better. I have friends that played halo like it was breathing.

Still, cross platform FPS has been tested apparently. A few years ago I think, the conclusion was that average PC players destroyed the pro console players.

To be honest most BF3 console players removes the autoaim setting. It doesn't help at all at long range and when you shoot someone at midrange and some enemy run in front of that enemy, the autoaim sometimes changes target to the closet one and it gets you killed more easily because you your aim moves around.

I know a console gamer that actually complains about the auto aim in some games. He says in Bad Company 2 on the xbox if he knows some one is coming out from a corner and tuning towards him it will auto lead the shots as if they were running straight and cause him to miss with the first few rounds. Though I've never seen it first hand. I've always meant to ask if stuff like that actually happened. If I ever did get a console and play a fps I would want my rounds going where I am aiming them (aside from bullet drop and such...kind of talking about close range stuff here)

Yup that will happen. That's why I gave up on console FPS for multiplayer gaming. I hate it too. Some games don't even give you the option to turn it off. I think COD MW2 was like this.

When you out-sniper nearly every sniper in BOII with a FAL you know controllers aren't accurate.

I would play the crap out of Halo 4 but it has a low turn speed, so using a M+KB takes a bit of tweaking without hitting the limit every time. [similar to mouse speed malfunction on PC]
