very good replacement for g400, i hope i won't go back to g400, so much better shooting with impy 4g, rubber sides, love braided cable, quiet wheel, no jittering cursor, voila!

If only they didn't put such a crappy sensor in it, the Imperator's shape has so much potential. Still one of the most comfortable mice for me to date.

So you wanna say you can't be instant killer with this mouse in game you are playing? I can, and game i play is 4-5x faster than any shooter released, even quake live, so dunno what crappy is about sensor.

Fast flick shots should be rather precise despite the dynamic DPI scaling, because the scaling kicks in just below a certain (slow) movement speed. This is exactly what makes it bad for slow precision movements though.

Does anyone know the best (or native?) dpi for this mouse? There is definitely some kind of lag at 1100dpi@1000hz with or without drivers.

1100 is the closest to my previous Zowie mouse and don't want to go lower than 800. Will try 800 now

EDIT: I am not even sure if it is lag its almost like the cursor occasionally starts slowing down or some other weirdness.

Try turning off surface calibration entirely. I actually tried this mouse before myself, and I found no problems. I reviewed it in my video here, works great at max DPI at least... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hy68klEaNdQ

Just a reminder; make sure your game supports raw input or you will neg accel very quickly with 6400 dpi. lol.

In another note I remember the whole z axis problem being a non-issue on the 4G version of this mouse. Very, very solid performance and no acceleration like the ADNS-9500.
