I love the input on that device but the user interface is a bit bare-bones.

Do those include WiFi cloud backup? They look just like a real notebook!

Alright so a rooted Nook Color is hit-and-miss on what apps actually are compatible with it but I've had this issue before. As for the hand-written notes I tested on it, the Nook seems to do just fine with a slight overclock but the notes don't look the greatest and speed for taking the notes down is slower than a pen and paper but still pretty fluid and quick. Keep in mind that I take down notes at an insane pace, like quick typing speed, so the responsiveness of the Nook couldn't quite keep up to my shorthand style and for normal notes it handled them fairly well.

ESP: Thanks, I'll keep my eyes open.

TSH: Thanks. I'm fairly slow, but i need responsive and accurate. I'm in engineering so I write a lot of equations with a lot of TINY subscripts and need responsiveness and accuracy. Any tips about that?

Here is how I took notes in school. It should work with any tablet or phone:

I could've sworn I updated this a while ago.

I sold stuff and then begged, borrowed, and stole enough money to pick up an Asus EP121. Fantastic decision. About $600 with a 64GB SSD, Wacom stylus, W7, the whole works. It's exactly what I wanted, but way more expensive. I'm glad I didn't spend $250 on something that would've kinda-worked.

My fiancee just got an android tablet (Galaxy 2 Tab 10.1) and will be trying note-taking on it. I'll update this again if we find something good tomorrow.

About that Infinity notes thing, I like it....but it's not a great solution. It's cheap, and I'm sure it works great.....but it doesn't solve my problems. A lot of what I need to do is take notes directly on top of PPT files, which I print to OneNote and do it there.

poke.gif It's an option I'm considering getting for my wife for her school work.

So my fiancee's been playing with it and loves it....but even with an expensive "accurate" capacitive stylus, it's useless for notes. My fiancee hasn't touched her stylus since her 2nd day of trying to use it. Great tablet, but not for handwritten notes. I feel comfortable about saying that about all capacitive touch screens.
