a8n32-sli-deluxe voltage problems

Thread Starter
i cannot set my vcore above 1.4 (1.44 with automatic mobo overvoltage)
no matter what value i set, even if i put it to 1.55 cpu-z or the bios hardware monitor shows me 1.44 volt
*** is going on?
ive read on another forum that this is a known issue
anyone have a solution to this?
im running the latest bios 1303
should i do a rollback to an earlier bios maybe?
ive also tried that overvoltage option, but its very buggy as well
what can i do?
this is holding my overclock back, i cannot go past 1.6ghz with this voltage
need help pls thx

edit: i also went on the official asustek forum and i couldn't find a solution to this problem since the search function on their website is totally useless
lol do i have to make a hardware volt mod or what? (:

I'd try roling the BIOS back a version.
Throw up a search in here too, there are quite a few of those MBs in members systems. You may fine a string on that issue.

Its not buggy its the main feature of that board which by the way I have owned 3 of in the past...

Sorry to be short but the overvoltage option allows the vCore to modulate in a steady wave across your CPU and it is the most important feature of that board. I just spent 2 hours on the phone last night walking a guy through setting the bios up for an opt OC.

Enable it and enjoy...
believe me, its more than buggy
my stock vcore is 1,35 volt and the cpu overvoltage option overvolts by 0,2 v
so i manually set my vcore to 1,15 (+0,2=1,35) and i have to clear cmos to get into bios.

im not asking how many asus boards youve owned in the past, i just want some help
how can you enjoy something that doesn't work?

Yes, try enabling overvoltage like said above. Just remember to add .2 to your voltage.

Example = 1.3 v + overvoltage would be 1.5v

Also this board has warm boot issues sometimes. When overvoltage is enabled sometimes hitting restart will not reboot, you will have to shut down and power back up. It's really no biggie but a pain in the $$$ when trying to adjust settings and testing, sometimes adding alittle more voltage takes care of it.

Good Luck!

Just try bumping it up a notch to 1.4 (1.2 + .2) and see if it helps.
