I usually just lurk, but check these out:
G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Timing 9-9-9-24Voltage 1.25
Free Gift: G.SKILL 4GB Micro SDHC Flash Card w/ SD Adapter Model FF-TSDG4GA-C4 (value:$6.99)$49.99
This thing oozes
value: under your budget, free gift, free shipping (might be common in US, but not in CAN...), typical bandwidth and timings, but LOW VOLTAGE
. Theoretically, the low voltage bolsters stability and adds value with extra, safe overclocking headroom, which is why I search low voltages in newegg first. This RAM must be quite new because usually LoVo sets have some downside (2x2GB for 2x4GB price or Cas 11...). Keep in mind though, that LoVo RAM would seem to have lower safe voltage ratings than regular RAM (e.g., LoVo safe voltage limit migh tbe 1.5-1.6 whereas as regular 1.5v RAM might be 1.65-1.7X). These could very well replace G. SKill's ECO set in the killer value department (since the ECO's still retain their price from last year)
. Should have a post up in the Deals section if there isn't one.
Here's a filtered power search
of newegg for other LoVo RAM if you are interested in a comparison.
Also, great post xd_1771. Highly reppable, if only it were possible
