I also had to modify the Mountain Mods MB tray to fit in the case, so I'll have to see if I can get one this size form them.

This 200mm is a placeholder too, I have some 200mm that aren't squared off and have switchable blue LEDs which would light up the waterfall biggrin.gif

I love how most of the components you're using in sketchup are the same ones I chose to use. That motherboard was closest to my P8Z68-V Pro, and I never had any issues with it's scaling. I remember it mounted perfectly to the ATX MB standoff dimensions perfectly. You MB tray may be off? And looks good, no go create a scratch build thread, and be sure to post major updates in here, as well a link to the thread so I can subscribe lool.

Now back to Project Rainfall:

The towels had started to turn a brownish color after a month of use, so time to move on to something more long-term. I planned on using towels just for the initial testing and to set a benchmark for my cooler to base future mods off. So I cut all the zip ties, and cleaned out the cooler:

DSC_5400.jpg

My new concept was to use metal mesh instead of the towels. I wrapped 3" x 12" sheets of metal mesh I cut from broken window screens around each of the posts in the cooler. I cut too many sheets due to the fact that I've been getting about 2 - 3 hours of sleep on weekdays for the last 4 weeks, and thought that 3 rows of 9 = 36. No. 3 x 9 = 27. Whoops. I was halfway through getting the mesh installed, and I remember counting the number of posts I had done, and then thinking "hmm looks like I'm halfway done...but I've only got 14/36 done....I must need sleep...."

DSC_5403.jpg

Now, I realize that the water doesn't saturate the mesh like it did with the towels due to the fact that the mesh weave isn't that dense, but I went ahead with it because water still flows down the mesh, and the mesh acts like a huge high-flow heat sink. This stuff was a **curse words** to install. I started at around 10pm last night and it took me until midnight to get them all wrapped, crimped on, and tied down. It took me while to figure out a method of securing the mesh to the posts, but once I figured it out all went smoothly.

Installed, and it works, just need to fix some minor leaks up top when I'm home from work. I got all new 10mm ID tubing, along with all new quick release industrial fittings. I can now disconnect all the tubing with water still in both coolers, and not spill anything. These fittings are awesome. I'll get some better pics of everything tonight.

DSC_5412.jpg

All the tubing is blue that matches the rest of the color scheme. I then sleeved all the tubing with black sleeving with a white tracer line.

DSC_5415.jpg

I replaced all the screws on both coolers with nice M4X20 Stainless Steel screws. These things look so good in person.

Yeah I'll go do that, sorry for hijacking your thread tongue.gif. Here it is.

The mesh looks a lot better than the towels here; and with proper cleaning shouldn't get gross.

So far no, it's been fine. I'm using a brita water filter.

ALSO Project Rainfall is done, and will be disassembled over the course of the next week, as my next build starts: http://www.overclock.net/t/1281076/build-log-artic-rain-first-azza-genesis-9000-build

This is so awesome that makes me want to take my water cooling to the next level. I have done chilled and phase, but not bong cooling, so maybe that will be the next project. Really love what you have done here.

On a side note, you mentioned you had an issue with AISuite giving odd sensor reporting, if you are using another program at the same time as AISuite it will do this, it's a known issue that AISuite does not play well with other programs. Best to use one or the other. Aida64 is a great program that will give you everything you need in one program.

Hey, thanks, I'll trade you my water cooling setup for a phase change any day lol

And thanks, I'll try that as an alternative to AI Suite
