I'm not one to pay for another program just for one feature that the one I really like is lacking. Even if that one feature is a MAJOR one.

Won't Windows Media center do it for free?

Yes, but WMC sucks. lol Like I said, I like XBMC. WMC is just not customizable enough for my liking.

Hi,

I have Windows 7 on mine and use the Thermal take Medialab Imon software which is part of the Harmony database so its configured to my Harmony 700 - which i can use to power on and off the PC and control the rest of the functions and the LCD can display the file names and Play/Stop commands.

I also have a Logitech mini Bluetooth remote keyboard and Wireless Logitech K400 keyboard with built in touchpad for mouse functions - got a bit carried away.

the remote that comes with the imon display is not that good but once configured to the harmony its very responsive and give you the option to switch on and off the PC and you can configure the buttons on Harmony remote login on the PC.

you can always buy the XMBC remote

Very good info there. Thanks! I ended up going with the Logitech One, and it's great. I need to do a fix to get it to be a little more responsive though. RIght now it almost a full second to move to the next album, or basically do anything I tell it to. There must be a way to fix that...
