MSI GTX 560 ti Hawk vs. MSI GTX 560 2GB which is better? - Page 3

HAWK is a joke, you can push all the gtx 560 Ti to 950-1000mhz cores with <75% fans profile.

I would get the 2 Gb Ti over a single 570.

All those who say 2Gb is useless you should buy a GTX 560 Ti 1Gb and a GTX 560 Ti 2Gb and test it by yourself.
I did and I can tell you, you want 2 Gb.

Even more if you want to SLI, SLI GTX 570 == Lot of horse power and a nice Vram bottleneck.

I would have to agree...I had a SLI'd 560ti 1Gb version and sold them and Sli'd 2gb twin Frozr's and the extra vram and it is great for games that take alotta vram like Skyrim and BF3....So I would have to say the 2gb version is well worth it.....They'll overclock the same...the twin Frozr just keeps it a little cooler, you won't top 65-70 max while gaming...

I have hit the vram wall using 2 1gb 560 Tis in SLI when playing games like Crysis 2 or BF3. The card can handle a bit higher settings, but it goes over the 1GB limit and causes stuttering.

If you plan to SLI and play new games, I'd get the 2GB cards NO DOUBT. They work very well in SLI, but lack the necessary vram to max new games.

Also, as mentioned, some TFII cards do come with the extra passive cooling; one that I got for RMA had the extra cooling on it. And the Hawk is loud as heck at high fan speeds.

70*C in SLI is max temp I get @ 60% fan speed.
2Gb is a must have and GTX 570 should not even be considered at this point.

Hey thanks, I did not know they added that little bracket onto the card to help cooling. That has been my issue since I once bought a TF2.

Since 2gb does not show a benefit in any benchmarks I can find on 1080 what are your reasons for recommending it? If it is the same price I would agree, I am trying to understand why you would pay more if it does not increase performance?
