Aye, I never said there were no hackers. I said problem is over exaggerated. A classic example yesterday...
Him: "How did you get past my claymore?"
Me: "I crouched past it..."
Him: "How did you know I was there..."
Me: "I heard you plant it"
I actually heard him in my headphones plant the claymore upstairs when I was on the bottom floor. I knew someone was up there, hence why I crouched. I used genuine skills to win, yet I was classed a hacker and I suspect the guy went and reported my profile. He then no doubt goes on a forum claiming "I saw this hacker who knew where I was all the time last night!!!
I am almost sure that's what 80% of hacker claims are... people who get annoyed when they are beaten by someone against the odds. In my opinion, there are no more cheats in BF3 than any other FPS (relative to player count). Punkbuster does a good job and can only be as pro-active as people allow it to be. It could be more effective, but this then means running more validation code on your PC potentially impacting on stability and system resources. People forget just how complex designing games is and that in any decision, there is always a trade off.
Sorry guys, there is no utopia.Edited by 98uk - 1/20/12 at 2:33am
