I can get the P5B deluxe for 238.00 CAN free shipping.

Asus P5B Deluxe / WIFI-AP Atx LGA775 Conroe 965P DDR2 PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 3PCI 8 SATA2 Sound Motherboard

The regular P5B would do fine, like the one I linked. Obviously, the P5B is probably the best one out there for insane overclocks, but I think for your rig the P5B is good enough (and supports RAID over the southbridge)

Yeah, I tried that, didn't work. I had a stick of OCZ (that I'm currently using in the meantime) Gold PC2-5400 and it booted w/o a hitch. Maybe I had some bad sticks?

Jimmy

Im planning on upgrading to Vista as soon as it is released.

What are the biggest problems of using a DX9 card with vista?
That you can't play DX10 games. Vista itself will run just fine

And that corsair is also the CAS5 RAM...what makes you think it'll get higher?

You can't play them at all? or you dont get the full advantages?

I was thinking the corsair would go higher then the G.Skill because of the price gap hahaha.

Also do you think the P5B non deluxe would be a better choice then the DS3?

Thanx

Try Team Group ram. They run at DDR2-800 4-4-4-10 @ 1.8-1.9V

I'll be picking up a kit of this when I get my system. ($277.00 US, ships to Canada FTW!)

That team group might be a solution. However, I wonder about custom issues with cross-border shipping (unless they have a warehouse in Canada).

And yes, I'd pick the P5B over the DS3.

I cant order from this site.. ill get extra fees...

what about those 2:

Ocz Gold Xtc PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL5-5-5-12 240PIN Dimm Dual Channel Memory Kit 800 MHz 243.99 CAN

OCZ GX XTC PC2-5400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2 CL4-4-4-12 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit W/ Heatspreader 667 MHz 287.00 CAN

They are about 100$ cheaper than my 1st choice..

(Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400 2GB 2X1GB PC6400 DDR2-800 Cl 5-5-5-12 240PIN Dimm )

Will the 5400 easily overclock high enough so i can get 1:1 ?
