Help overclocking 1090t - Page 3

Nice 4.0 GHz Oc and ya the posters are right about getting your CPU stable then do the NB, I wasn't sure if you were new and was wondering how you are testing if it's stable? What bench tests are you running, and if your not, you need to, to make sure you are stable. Booting windows doesn't mean stabe by any means. thumb.gif

I run Prime95 for 1hour before saying it is stable, is that good enough you think?

For sure, nothing beats that and I'm with you, I only run about an hour mostly on prime myself, I noticed on a many oc I've done, 9 out 10 times if your CPU passee prime for the first hour your golden. So are you going to push that CPU any higher? Also for the volts I've been running my 1100T at 1.47-1.48 for a stable 4.2 Oc with no issues, I use the H70 for heat and it's really been great for cooling. And sorry about the new comment, I just wasn't sure and by the looks of it, you know your stuff. thumb.gif

It's all good (: 1100T should be pretty much the same as a 1090T in terms of overclocking yeah?

For what i've heard ya, but some people have said the 1090T is better it terms of it's gotten higher speeds. But the chips are pretty much the same. So I think your safe on your volts. I've had higher volts and read all over OCN of people having the same. Sry for the bad grammer on my last post,(I only about run about an hour) i've been working all night at the Casino and my eyes are tired.
