The Rezound suffers from a sub-par SLCD screen IMO. Between the Razr and the Nexus, both have Super AMOLED screens but the Razr has a higher MP camera. Still, the advantages of Ice Cream Sandwich outweigh any disadvantages of the Nexus' camera so I went with the Nexus....

Exactly, and that's what everyone is voting! Lol. The 4S is too small, I wish it was a 4" screen at least. I would definitely take the Nexus over the Razr, I just feel like I was disappointed with the launch when I thought it would blow the SGS II away. I think it's between the Nexus and the 4S, with the Rezound as a possibility. I'll have to compare all of the screens side by side. The Nexus camera is good?

The Nexus camera is a bit average for a phone of its caliber, but I understand that Google had to make image quality as a tradeoff for much faster response e.g. the zero shutter lag and quick camera start-up. It's not bad by all means, but other phones like the SGS II and iPhone 4S can handily beat it.

However, I do say that the Super AMOLED HD screen on the GNex is absolutely gorgeous. You won't even probably feel it's using PenTile at all, considering its high resolution at that screen size.

@ Original Question
SG S2 is great, both for screen + camera.

Applecare + introduced for the 4s covers any breakage or water damage. Deductible is $50. Covers 2 incidents.

The idea that the glass in the 4s is not as good or better than any other glass phone is preposterous.

Duh, everyone should make their decision based on one data point in a video. rolleyes.gif

http://www.cnn.com/2012/01/10/tech/gaming-gadgets/gorilla-glass-ces/index.html

Due to customer nondisclosure agreements, Corning cannot name all the devices that use Gorilla Glass -- including Apple products. But according to multiple other sources, including Walter Isaacson's recent biography of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, the product's first consumer application was the original iPhone in 2007.
A passage from Isaacson's book details how Apple had originally planned to use plastic display coverings for its iPhone before Jobs approached Corning CEO Wendell Weeks about ordering glass instead. Weeks told him Corning had developed a tough form of glass, made extra strong by a chemical process, but couldn't find a market for it.
Weeks didn't think Corning could manufacture the glass fast enough to meet Apple's timetable for the iPhone launch. But at the prodding of Jobs, who wouldn't take no for an answer, Corning did it in six months.
After the iPhone hit the market, Jobs sent Weeks a note that said, "We couldn't have done it without you."

This is what I meant when I said warranty. I would have to buy the Applecare coverage for it. The only way I would consider a case is if it was one of those extended battery cases, because it actually has a function. On (probably) the opposite end of the spectrum, I'm also waiting to see what the Galaxy Note is like.

If you haven't owned any iPhone before, do it! I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

- Best camera
- Best OS and User Interface (personal preference, but you can't really knock it)
- Best App Store
- iTunes compatible

I have the non-S iPhone 4 and I've had zero problems with it for the past 1.5 years

Every Samsung phone I've ever owned has died. Every Apple device I've ever owned has never failed.

Yeah, I think I'm going to. I've never owned an iPhone before and it's about time to see what all the hype is about. I just don't like the fact that I can't pick a new phone for 18(?) months on Verizon and by then I'm sure the iPhone 5 or some other crazy phones will be out and I'll be craving them.

Your iPhone 4s will be unlocked for overseas (just ask Verizon)

You will be able to sell your 4s for a lot more money than any android phone you can buy today. The resale value on last years hot android phone is in the toilet, esp samsung ones because of their one and done update policy.

^True!

Resale values of any Apple products outmatch any of the competition.

Best Camera? Yes
Best OS and User Interface? Subjective, I have my SGSII to the point where everything is efficient
Best App Store? Androids AppStore is pretty phenomenal. I got rid of my iPhone because I really didn't use the apps all that much other than the ones that are on Android already...
iTunes? Yuck. D:
