Ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231065

The black one is the best, and has timings of 4-4-4-12. I am not sure what the difference is between the other two kits, except for the voltage.

And don't spend over $550 on a video card with DX10 in the near future. Get a X1900GT or an 7900GS for $200. Those cards will be able enough to carry you to DX10. The 795GX2 is a good card, but a waste of money at the moment in my opinion. Also, with the money saved, you can get a better motherboard, like the Asus P5W DH Deluxe (if you want dual graphics in the future) or the Asus P5B Deluxe.

Yeah, get the black G.Skill HZ, the price just got bumped up by $40 so buy it fast before it goes up even more. Why get a 7950GX2 when DX10 comes out in 2 month? At least get an eVGA so you can step up later on

You also might want to consider the X-Fi Platinum which has a rebate right now for $50 which makes it only $5 more then the XtremeMusic. Also, if you get the 700W OCZ GameXStream, it might help you in the long run.

If all rumors about the new gen. cards are true (250W or so per card), I think the GameXStream might not be enough... for sure in a SLI or Crossfire rig it won't be. I don't think *any* current PSU is enough for dual cards that draw up to 250W a piece. (that's like 42A, and even the 1KW PC Power&Cooling only delivers 36A on the rail that supplies the video cards)

Man i really got to think about that ram! Although if I'm going to do it, then i must do it right!

Please bare with me, i am a virgin when it comes to new stuff, especially SLI or Crossfire set ups.

Question:
Are you saying that the card above is not DX10 ready?
How will i no what card is and isn't?

Also links to your suggestion would be much appreciated

Yeah outlaw, don't get the 7950gx2, becaues It seems you are sticking to that 19" monitor. Get a x1900xt 256mb, or 512mb. Either one will be amazing.

EDIT: No DX10 compliant cards are out, however I think they can do it using software emulation...which is just plain horrible.

EDIT2: The reason I say, and probably Chozart agrees, to not get that 7950gx2, is because you can't utilize all its power; you'd need like..a 24" monitor to even start stressing that card any.

There are NO cards on the market now that are DX10 ready. That's why I suggest an inexpensive card for around $200 or so to wait for DX10. If you really want to, you can get an X1900XT or so, but I think the cheaper ones I linked are sufficient enough.

RAM is insanely expensive at the moment. I was lucky to guy my kit for $256, and right after that it rose to over $350, although it's now back to $308.
