What is your maximum budget?

$400-800

What country are you in?

I get everything delivered from the US

What will be the uses of this laptop?

Mostly for my studies, reading PDFs, books, Office aps, Browsing OCN and other sites.

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?

I haven't bought a laptop in a long time I was using an old samsung netbook which was painfully slow.

What screen size do you require?

I'd like it to be between 11-13 inches, a balance between portability and internal hardware

What screen resolution do you require?

Again not sure how resolutions run on Laptops, but if it anything like tv's 720p is fine.

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay?

New would be preferable but if there's a refurb that's a steal, I might consider it

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)

Atleast 6 hours, although I've seen some that last 10+ hours so the higher the better.

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings?

I like to play free MMOs (Mostly Atlantica Online or any of the Perfect World Developed, at any time there will only be one installed as I don't like to use up HDD space) So something compatible would be nice but it isn't priority, because I have my home rig, I just get bored sometimes marathon study sessions suck.

Aswell as older non graphics intensive games.

What operating system do you need? (if any)

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.)

Black is preferable but not necessary.

How much hard drive space do you need?

1TB preferably (Minimum is 500GB)

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.)

None

Is there anything else we need to know?

I'm not sure if my budget is enough if i need to spend more, please let me know.

Thanks Guys!

Edit: I changed my budget because I may be moving a lot and rig may have to be dormant for a while. Also I forgot to mention I've had some bad luck/or I'am terrible at taking care of them, but I have a problem where they end up overheating to shutdown point within an hour after about a year of use also the hinges always seem to loosen up or break. This leads to my question both were HP laptops and since HP left the comp market I'm unsure now if it was me or if their build quality sucked balls.

So if anyone has any reccomendations as to how to keep dust out or at a minimum so it doesn't overheat and how to keep the hinges from loosening that would be great too.
