I want to be able to have hot keys to switch from the 5760x1080 to 3-1920x1080 std ext'd desktop and back again. I play a bunch of indie games that don't support eyefinity very well so it would be nice to be able to switch resolutions on the fly. I'm afraid to even try switching anything again as that is what starts the crashing again.

Got to love PC's, problems occur out of nowhere then fix themselves out of nowhere thumb.gif

I have also wanted hotkeys for that. I have messed with the hotkeys option in CCC so many times and can't figure out how to make it work.

You can use preset but some users find it difficult to setup.

The simple way is to press "Windows Button + P".

I appreciate you guys reading and responding to my posts, but the problem is still here. I still cannot change resolutions or display groups without starting the crashing loops again. The preset hotkeys aren't the issue, AMD control center makes it a cinch (you open the Vision control center and click 'presets>add preset>assign hotkey'). So close to just picking up a 2500k and new mobo. They only thing I can think off is some sort of issue with my current cpu/motherboard combo.

For future reference, the only thing I can figure is some sort of incompatibility with the 890GX chipset on my mobo. Running an i5-2500k with an ASRock P67 E4G3 as of tonight and this thing is rock solid now. Everything works great and I am a happy camper with the upgrade.
