New Build - Asus P8Z68-V Pro/Gen 3 - No post, No bios, No display

Thread Starter
I just completed my new build which consists of the following components

Asus P8Z68-V Pro/Gen 3
Intel i5 - 2500K Processor w/ COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
XFX Radeon HD 6970 HD-697A-CNFC Video Card with Eyefinity
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850M 850W
ASUS 24X DVD Burner
Western Digital 2TB Caviar Black Hard Drive
CORSAIR|600T CC600TWM-WHT Case

This isn't my first build, and I've taken this thing apart and put it together from scratch to see if I had a short or something else.

The machine is never posting. The lights and fans all cut on. The motherboard LEDs proceed as follows:

CPU - Check
RAM - Check
VGA - Check
Boot Device - Stays Red

I never get any video on the screen ( I have tried with both DVI Connections on my video card, and the DVI and VGA connection on the Motherboard On-Board Video. All sources never get any video)
I never get any sort of post Beeps.

I'm stumped.. Can anyone give me a hand here because it is seriously driving me crazy.

I generally don't chime in this quickly but i have the same board and i think its junk! Perhaps what i've learned over the last week can help you out.

If the boot device stays red, it is indicating a drive issue. However, no video and no BIOS access leaves you 2 moves.

1. Remove the CMOS battery from the board and then move the jumper to pins 2 and 3. Leave the jumper pinned to pins 2 and 3 for a good five minutes. Then replace the CMOS battery and return the jumper back to pins 1 and 2 (default). If your board is like mine, moving the pins alone will not clear the CMOS and removing the battery alone only reset the clock, not the BIOS settings.

Hopefully that allows you a fresh start. If it does not, then move on to the second option.

2. RMA that sucker. I bought three of these dogs and i refuse to open another. If i can't get mine to act right by tomorrow, i'm shipping them all back to Newegg. I've been f****** around with this board for a week. I called ASUS today because mine won't even load some of its own software which came on the ASUS driver CD. Good luck and i hope you get it lit...

Regards
