Where to buy specific screws?

Hi, basically I need somewhere to buy specific screws that will allow me to mount a Corsair H100 with 4 fans to the 'ceiling' of the HAF-X, I believe the gauge is M3 or M3.5, but I cannot find any sufficiently long ones (from what I can work out, with fans either side of the radiator the screws would need to be 60mm) that I can get in the UK.

If anyone could recommend me anywhere to buy them that ships to the UK I will be very grateful. biggrin.gif

You need sixteen UNC 6/32 screws 1.25" inch (31.75mm) length. Not sure how you reckoned 60mm, but basically you screw two of the fans onto one side of the rad, and the other two fans on the other side, which is called a push-pull setup.

They look like this http://en.mdpc-x.com/mdpc-mounting/screws/unc-6-32-31.7mm-screws-black-oxide-button-head.htm

I thought each fan was 25mm thick and the radiator was 27mm, I've just realized I plucked the figure of 60mm out of my arse, but it was late so forgive me. biggrin.gif

I was under the impression that you had the screws going all the way through the first fan, through the rad, through the other fan then screwing into the case, but I guess I was wrong. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the help though, +rep wheee.gif

60mm would be about right if you have a 25mm shroud as well.

2x25mm = 50mm. If you tried to screw the remaining 10mm into the H100 then you'll get coolant all over your motherboard tongue.gif

I'm really confused now, do the screws go through the holes in the rad on the H100 or do they screw into the H100? I was under the impression the screw went through the corner of the fan, then through a hole in the H100 then through another fan, then into the case haha. Now I feel stupid biggrin.gif
post #8 of 12
Screws start by going through the case, then through the fan, and then about 5mm into the rad.

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification.

Also do you know for the H100 are there 8 holes on each side to screw the 2x 120mm in? i.e. ones for each corner of each fan?
Yes, and normally in the H100 you get 8 short screws 0.25" (to fix the rad to the case) and 8 long screws 1.25" to fix the fans to the rad inside the case. In your case, so you need 8 extra long screws to put fans between the case and rad smile.gif

See the manual http://www.corsair.com/media/cms/manual/forWeb_8.5inx11in_H100.pdf
